Celebrity Eyewear

Celebrity Eyewear

Eyewear has been an iconic accessory for celebrities in Hollywood for decades. From Jackie O’s oversized sunglasses to the aviators worn by Tom Cruise in Top Gun, eyewear has been a constant presence in the film and TV industry. But, why does eyewear hold such an important place in Hollywood?

The answer is simple. Eyewear gives celebrities an air of sophistication, power, and glamour. It can add a touch of class to a look, or emphasize a certain attitude. It also helps to protect celebrities from the bright lights and cameras of Hollywood. Whether it’s a pair of classic Ray-Ban aviators or a pair of designer sunglasses, eyewear has become a signature accessory for celebrities.

So, let’s take a look at some of Hollywood’s most iconic eyewear looks. Starting in the 1950s, Marilyn Monroe was a fan of cat-eye frames. She often wore her signature large frames with an open-eyed look. Audrey Hepburn was also a fan of the cat-eye look, often wearing them with a sophisticated and stylish dress.

In the 1960s, Jackie O’s oversized sunglasses became iconic. They were often seen on her as she visited the White House, adding a sense of power and sophistication to her look.

In the 1970s, Farrah Fawcett and John Travolta were two of the biggest stars, and both often wore aviator sunglasses. Tom Cruise’s aviators in Top Gun made them even more popular.

In the 1980s, sunglasses became even more popular, thanks to the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Cyndi Lauper.

In the 1990s, sunglasses were worn with a more relaxed and casual style, seen in stars like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

Fast-forward to the present day, and celebrity eyewear is still going strong. Stars like Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, and Beyonce are often seen wearing oversized frames and designer sunglasses.

No matter what the era, eyewear has always been a signature accessory for celebrities worldwide. From Jackie O’s oversized frames to Tom Cruise’s aviators, eyewear has become an iconic part of celebrity fashion. It has helped to create a sense of power, glamour, and sophistication that has made it a lasting staple in the world of celebrity style.
